Our Story
Lena Photos started in the city of Lahore in 1974 as “Toor Photo Centre.“ Toor Photo Centre became one of the key photo studios in Libya in the 70s, known for being the first photo studio to be able to create colour photos and operating 5 studios.
In 1987 after many shifts, Lena Portrait Studio opened its first location in Downtown Windsor. In the early 1990s, we shifted to Wyandotte St W. in a plaza that hosted Modern Meat Market and a Barbershop School. In the early 2000s, we shifted to our current location at 1664 Wyandotte St. West.
Our Team
Lena Photos is a family run studio. Our founder and Master Photographer Siddiq “Albert“ Akbar has shot photographs in various formats since the 1960s, getting his start at “Souhail Studio.“
In his 70s, he still makes all of our frames by hand in our factory in Windsor, Ontario.
His goal is to revive photography services unknown to others through his unique education in photography. Visit CLASSIC ART SERVICES for more details
